🔥 Fire C***r es en proceso!

We got hit hard with cooties from the state fair. So hard that one of the girls specifically asked for Fire C***r! And these are kids that rather be sick than taste it!

So im starting the fermentation process with my Appalachian fire c***r recipe. I will wait for after 4 weeks to add the honey to sweeten it up a bit.

Do you make fire c***r? What’s your favorite ingredient that really helps clear you up? Mine is tumeric! (And honey 💛)

We will be at Osage Beach Farmers Market tomorrow! We have only have 2 more market days there and we will slow down for the season.

How cool is this little gal!

We love to piddle in the bee yard. (I should be folding laundry)

It’s such a peaceful getaway.

I’m not sure if we will pick bouquets this week, I’m thinking of leaving them for the bee’s. Since it’s been rainy the bees haven’t been out to forage as vigorously. So I should keep some food for them close by.

Ladybird has been in the bee yard, as her specialty. She tinkered with her body conditioner this week and jazzed it up a bit with just a touch more mango butter. We looooove that ingredient.

Ladybird has great ideas. She loves chicken feet for a collagen boosting treat. Lots of dogs do. So she decided to try her paw in the kitchen…

And survey sayyyyyys:::
Ladybird needs to stay in the bee yard.

Ladybird & chicken feet are not allowed back in the house kitchen. We tried. We tried multiple times. Clipping chicken paw toe nails is just not in our wheelhouse at the moment.

We’re going to have to give up the goose… or in this instance, the chicken feet.

Go get your own fresh chicken feet (and other chicken pieces, along with fresh milk & eggs) at Shady Maple Farm on Hwy HH in Fortuna. They are a great operation.
