Opening Doors, Building a Workplace for Everyone.

As Construction Inclusion Week comes to a close, we're reminded that building a stronger industry starts with bringing people together.

This morning, one of our Turner project teams gathered for a Construction Inclusion Week huddle, complete with coffee, donuts, and a safety quiz. It was a great opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and reinforce the importance of creating a workplace where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. A little friendly competition added to the fun, with prizes awarded to the safety quiz winners!

While Construction Inclusion Week may be coming to an end, our commitment to building a culture of inclusion, respect, and teamwork continues every day.

Sustainability in Action at the Seattle Aquarium!

We're excited to share that Turner's Blake Doepker will join industry partners on October 15 for a panel discussion highlighting the Seattle Aquarium Ocean Pavilion's innovative approach to sustainable wood sourcing.

Hear how Turner Construction, the Seattle Aquarium, and LMN Architects collaborated to source FSC-certified Alaskan Yellow Cedar from Indigenous-owned Taan Forestry, bringing sustainability and Indigenous ecological knowledge together through thoughtful material procurement.

We love volunteering with Backpack Brigade! 🎒💚

Today, we prepped 700 bags of food that will be delivered to Seattle schools and distributed to kids in need.

It’s incredibly rewarding to spend time together while supporting an organization doing such meaningful work in our community. A big thank you to for all they do!

This free, four-week program is designed to prepare small, local, and underrepresented construction businesses for future opportunities and professional development. Participants will gain practical tools to support sustainable growth while building valuable relationships within the construction industry.

The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 13 through November 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Turner Construction in Seattle.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month, and September 14–18, Turner is recognizing Construction Su***de Prevention Week, an important reminder across our jobsites and workplaces that the worker is more important than the work.

Construction continues to have one of the highest su***de rates of any industry. Each of us can make a difference by checking in, starting honest conversations, and reminding one another that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Sometimes, a few simple words can mean more than we realize: “I’m here if you want to talk.” “See you tomorrow.”

This week and throughout the year, we encourage our teams to keep the conversation going, look out for one another, and make sure everyone knows they are valued and supported.
