We were recently asked to perform two CADWELD exothermic welds for the new Seattle City Light vault. These connections were required by the project specifications and needed to be completed in the presence of an inspector for verification.

The electrical contractor onsite did not have the necessary molds and equipment, so they reached out to Exact for assistance.

Our team had the equipment and experience to perform the work. Because the molds are costly and have long replacement lead times, we elected to have our crew complete the welds rather than loan out the equipment.

We also took the opportunity to provide the team onsite with instruction and hands-on training in the exothermic welding process, walking through the preparation and steps needed to produce a solid weld.

This work reflects Exact Electric’s commitment to professional workmanship, supporting our project partners, and sharing knowledge to help develop stronger teams in the field.

At our Wetmore Avenue project in Everett, the Exact Electric team took care to ensure these MC feeders were neatly routed, organized, and secured.
