Devonshire Landscapes' mission is to improve the quality of life for our clients by transforming their yard into a beautiful extension of their home that meets their personal and functional needs. From regular maintenance programs & "one-time" clean-ups, to a complete redesign and installation of your yard. We do fences, decks, patios, rettaining walls, irrigation, lighting, and of course lawns and plants.

Flower Friday! A few late season favorites from visit to an installation earlier this year. A dwarf version of Joe Pye W**d (Eupatorium dubium 'Little Joe') keeps the butterflies happy and works in smaller gardens. Toad lilies (Tricyrtis hirta) always add a bit of a tropical feel to the garden late in the season. And how fun and unique are the horizontal flowers on the Grama Grasses (Bouteloua gracilis)! 😲

Visiting a past client from 2022 and was very happy to see how well this Fleur de Lawn is still going strong. Incorporating clover and English daisies takes a lawn from a boring monoculture to a biodiverse party for the pollinators. Fun fact, clover naturally provides nitrogen to help feed your lawn. 🎉🐝.

Finished up Phase 2 for a client where we had previously installed a new patio and fence in the backyard. This round was tackling a slippery lawn on a slope that was treacherous to traverse and mow. A series of broad steps with path lights created a much safer pathway. Eliminating the lawn for new drought tolerant plants cut down on maintenance. An edit of the existing plants and some new additions create a fresh new look in the backyard.

The Devonshire team was honored to donate labor restore the landsacpe and provide arborist chips to help cultivate the West Seattle Log House Museum’s native plant landscape. We’re proud to support this local icon and look forward to keeping these historic grounds beautiful with our ongoing maintenance services! 🌳🏠
