His extensive knowledge of Northwest homes throughout the various periods of modern history has been cultivated through his 32 years of experience as a contractor. Kirk's formal training includes study of design at Cornish College of the Arts, study of art at the University of Washington, and study of construction management, real estate, appraisal, and commercial investing at North Seattle Community College. He also enjoys traveling with his wife when time permits, watching sports, and being a supportive "dad" to his five step-children, their spouses, and seven step-grandchildren. Lacey is a university trained designer, specializing in kitchens and baths. She holds a degree in residential design from the Art Institute of Seattle and began working as a full-time designer in 2004. She has helped literally hundreds of homeowners with their home remodeling designs.
