We are looking for strong leaders who are comfortable directing teams and coaching in the moment. Our journeymen are deployed both solo and with teams, depending on the demands of the jobs on deck. Our jobs vary from small troubleshooting/service call work to whole-house remodel and new construction work across the greater Puget Sound region.
Applicants should be eager to join a close-knit team comprised of various skill levels. Outstanding candidates will exhibit an aptitude for peer coaching and customer interaction, while maintaining a high personal standard for their craft.
RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
• Work with general contractors and/or homeowners throughout the course of a project to ensure the work stays on track and within budget
• Review project scopes with office personnel prior to job commencement to ensure that projects may be successfully executed, voicing any concerns prior to deployment to job sites
• Diligently document or delegate the documentation of all actions taken throughout the day, and relay this documentation to the office at EOD every day to ensure that proper records are kept in order to guarantee successful, streamlined billing process
• Accurately bill clients at the completion of all service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical systems
• Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation
• Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA/L&I safety requirements and coaching others to do so as well
• Use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, lifts to work on electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor
• Use of proper PPE where required and ensuring its proper use by others
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Washington State electrical license
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes (WAC, SCL, and so on)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to operate large vehicles and/or a willingness to learn
• Ability to communicate effectively with office personnel
• Ability to twist, crouch, and crawl repeatedly and for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lb.
• Ability to work irregular hours and overtime when required
• Previous experience working on residential and commercial electrical systems preferred
• Previous experience working on residential and commercial solar installations a huge plus
