HORIZON HOUSE
New Construction | Kirkland, WA | Completed 2021

Horizon House is defined by low-sloping rooflines, generous overhangs, natural materials, and a strong horizontal expression.

Inside, a dramatic two-story entry leads to open kitchen, dining, and living spaces that extend through oversized sliding doors to a covered and heated outdoor living area. Upstairs, a media room concealed behind a secret bookcase adds an unexpected element of fun to a home designed equally for everyday family life and entertaining.

Prairie-inspired architecture reimagined for contemporary living.

CHEF SANCTUARY
Addition + Extensive Remodel | Completed 2023

Designed in close collaboration with a professional chef, this home balances family life with a love of cooking and entertaining. At its heart, a light-filled formal kitchen and oversized island serve as the social center of the home, while pocket doors conceal a fully equipped working kitchen designed around professional-grade appliances and serious meal preparation.

A double-height living room, 10-foot ceilings, expansive glazing, and richly layered materials create a sense of openness and warmth throughout. Outside, deconstructed gable forms frame the entry and provide a vertical counterpoint to the long, low garage.

A highly personalized home shaped around the way its owners cook, gather, and live.

COURTYARD HOUSE
New Construction | Renton, WA | Completed 2024

Designed for a narrow urban lot, the Courtyard House turns inward to create a private, south-facing outdoor room at the heart of the home. Wrapping the house around the courtyard fills the interior with natural light while providing privacy and year-round indoor-outdoor living.

Vaulted ceilings, expansive glazing, and an open floor plan create bright, connected living spaces, while an ADU above the garage adds flexibility for guests, multigenerational living, or rental income.

Thoughtful design can transform site constraints into opportunities.

LIGHT, VOLUME & CONNECTION

Sometimes the biggest transformations don't require adding square footage.

This 2,000 SF interior remodel completely reimagined the 1,145 SF main floor by removing low flat ceilings and introducing a vaulted ceiling that follows the roof above, creating a bright, open living space that feels dramatically larger.

The kitchen was relocated to become the heart of the home, seamlessly connecting to the living and dining areas. New windows and a wall of glass fill the interior with natural light while capturing filtered views of Lake Washington.

Thoughtful changes to the bedroom, office, and bathroom improved functionality without increasing the home's footprint, proving that great design is about making the most of the space you already have.

TWIN GABLES

New Construction | Normandy Park, WA | Completed 2022

Designed around natural light, flexibility, and indoor-outdoor living, Twin Gables is a contemporary home defined by two deconstructed brick-clad gables framing the entry. Large expanses of glass, a light-filled kitchen centered around a dramatic picture window, and a covered outdoor living room create spaces equally suited for everyday living and entertaining.

The home also includes a fully appointed guest house designed to adapt over time, whether for family, guests, or rental opportunities, reflecting the project's emphasis on thoughtful and flexible living.

A home designed to grow and evolve alongside the people who live in it.
