Featured on Dezeen is the recently completed Westwood Golf in the article titled, “Golf clubhouse by Graham Baba nods to farm structures in rural Washington.”

Part of a nine-hole golf course in Yakima, the project’s “star element is the newly constructed, 12,000-square-foot clubhouse, which rises two levels and is L-shaped in plan. It contains hospitality space and 28 driving-range stations, including high-tech ones that can simulate golf courses found across the world. The roof and upper floor are made of mass-timber panels, supported by steel and glued-laminated columns and beams. There is a 20-foot clear span between columns, allowing for unencumbered golf swings,” writes Jenna McKnight, Dezeen.

Currently underway, the Port of Vancouver Public Market is envisioned as a new public gathering place on the Columbia River waterfront in Vancouver, WA.

Located off the I-5 bridge, the highly visible site serves as a gateway into Vancouver and Washington State. The market is part of the Port of Vancouver USA’s larger redevelopment of Terminal One, transforming an area historically associated with port and industrial uses into a mixed-use waterfront district with offices, retail, restaurants, hotels, and public space.

Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the market is intended to reflect the Port’s broader sustainability goals. Photovoltaic panels are currently envisioned for the roof, with additional strategies continuing to be developed as the project advances. Scroll for a look inside and out.

Starting the day with coffee at the University of Washington Suzzallo Library Starbucks ☕️ Set within the historic library, the café blends original architectural details with thoughtful spaces for students to gather, study, and connect. Inspired by Suzzallo’s ornate detailing, the design also features a custom artwork by local artist Matthew Olds, celebrating the many hands behind the journey from bean to cup.
