Happy Birthday to our founder Deb Shields!

We wouldn't be here without you and the guiding light of professional might. Even before 1989 the seed was sewn for NWP, and our services have only grown from the care and nurture of your "perky and persistent" attention to detail. Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce & Journal-American of Bellevue.

ALWAYS observe your local code and regulations. With that said, do also observe the great content from BAS Renovations. Clear explanations of construction methods, great editing, and an easy look at the “why” behind building details. Not sponsored, we just really enjoy their videos!

JUNE 8th CUTOFF
No Right-of-Way closures in those areas of Seattle identified here, per Seattle Department of Transportation.

Only 20 days left. If you haven't applied for your street use permit by now, you should look to schedule that work after July 7th when the moratorium ends. Check the map to see if your street or right-of-way is identified and prohibited from street work related closures. You may apply for an exception, but expect this to be extremely limited in scope and duration.

We are excited to be attending the Washington Department of Ecology Coastal Training Program for Forage Fish Surveying as required by Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife for costal construction projects. As luck would have it, we have partnered with a local professional who holds a BA in Environmental Studies to provide this required service to one of our customer's remote construction projects. Every day we get to open the door to new and exciting practices that will broaden our understanding of all construction and permitting requirements and this field training class will be a great change of pace from the desk work we normally perform. Check out the classes offered by Ecology for this kind of Shoreline Environmental work! https://coastaltraining-wa.org/page-1811075

This course is offered as part of a series of six courses related to Alternatives to Bulkheads. Course 1 is recommended for as a pre requisite for courses 1-6. Courses 1-6 will be offered throughout 2026.
