My dad Michael had been sick with end stage renal failure for a while now. He passed away a little bit ago at St. Joseph's Hospital. I just got the call from a nurse. He wasn't always there physically but he was present in different stages of my life and I always knew he was somewhere, somehow, reachable.

I was going to go see him in the morning. I waited too long. I didn't get to say goodbye.

I always wondered if I would cry or really care if he passed. The answer is YES. He wasn't the best parent, but he was still my parent, he was my dad. He said he had a year. I can't believe he's gone.😥 I'm sorry I wasn't there dad. I will miss you 😔
