The Benson Hotel, a Hilton Curio Collection property we had the honor of renovating, continues its tradition of hosting the 53rd Annual Gingerbread Reveal tonight!

Our design team worked hard to blend modern elegance with the timeless beauty of The Benson's historic 1913 architecture—peeling back layers to reveal its original charm while creating an updated experience for today’s guests. This stunning setting will host the reveal of this year's house-made gingerbread masterpiece.

When: December 3rd, 5–7 PM
Where: , Portland, OR

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, bundle up, grab a friend, and immerse yourself in this festive tradition. Trust us, this isn’t your average gingerbread house—it’s a marvel of craftsmanship (and a little magic).

GGLO Wins Big at NAIOP's Night of the Stars!

We're celebrating The Hemlock as the Multi-Family Residential Urban Development of the Year! This Greenwood gem transformed a once-shuttered Safeway site into a vibrant, mixed-use community. Here's what sets The Hemlock apart:

• 297 modern apartments + 12,500 SF community grocer, bringing renewed energy to the heart of Greenwood

• Neighborhood-Centric Retail - Secured Greenwood's top-choice small grocer tenant, adding both convenience and character.

• Leasing Success - 89% leased at above-proforma rents, a testament to its appeal and value in the community.

Built on Complexity - Overcoming the difficulty of building on a peat bog, elevation challenges, and groundwater issues to deliver a resilient, quality community

Congrats to all the NAIOP award-winners including GGLO's other award winner, Avalon Bothell Commons!

Last week, we celebrated another step toward affordable housing in Boise: breaking ground on the Wilson Station Apartments at State and Arthur. This development includes 102 units for families earning 30 to 80% of the area median income. Strategically located next to Taft Elementary and the State Street Corridor, it will provide residents with access to education, jobs, and other opportunities. We're excited for construction to get underway!

GGLO is committed to creating spaces that embrace diversity, inclusion, and authenticity. More inclusive spaces start with asking the right questions, questions that interrogate the brief, and amplify the hidden beauty and truth.

Through collaboration, we empower one another and create places that reflect our vibrant communities. Together, we build environments for people and by people.

Let's continue to ask better questions, appreciate the hidden beauty, and create spaces that celebrate people for who they truly are.

Happy from GGLO!

2. WSU Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center (Pullman, WA) The Center serves as a vessel for critical dialogues around race, ethnicity, intersectional identities, systems of oppression, cultural empowerment, and social justice.
3. GGLO Office, Rainier Tower, level 22 (Seattle, WA) By incorporating gender neutral restrooms, we foster a sense of belonging and respect for everyone who visits or works in this space.
4. 87th & Western (Los Angeles, CA) Affordable and supportive housing development for previously homeless individuals and families in the Grammercy Park neighborhood.

Marieke Lacasse, GGLO Principal, has been elected to the prestigious American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Council of Fellows. GGLO offices will be closed on Monday, June 19 to honor .

On June 19, 1865, about 250,000 enslaved Texans learned that they had been free for more than two years following President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. Their reactions to this news ranged from shock and fear, to joy and gratitude. At its core, Juneteenth is a celebration of African American freedom and achievements. ⠀

In recognition of the monumental importance of Juneteenth, we are empowering and highlighting the following Black organizations that we work with: Africatown Community Land Trust, M.A.D. Construction, Wa Na Wari, and KBK Enterprises. To learn about how we collaborate with them to create spaces designed with and for our communities, go to https://www.gglo.com/2023/06/16/juneteenth/

We are excited to see the iconic building, Africatown, take shape! The project will be completed later this Fall.
