🍁 Three fun facts about vine maple — Acer circinatum
🌿 It really can look like a vine. In the shade of a Northwest forest, its long, flexible branches sprawl and arch through the understory, sometimes rooting where they touch the ground. Give it more sun and it can grow into a pretty substantial, upright little tree
🐝 The flowers are tiny but busy. Spring blooms attract bumble bees, mason bees and honey bees, along with butterflies and hummingbirds.
🍂 Its fall color is like mood ring. In more sun, vine maple can turn brilliant shades of red, orange and yellow. In shade, the colors tend to be more subdued.
