In 2022, MCA prepared topographic mapping in Tokeland, WA to support the award winning Shoalwater Dune Restoration project being conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It was a challenging project requiring the acquisition of low altitude, low tide aerial imagery.

Heavy storms resulted in sand dune over topping and over-wash and 100% dune cross section loss, dune restoration had to be done and quickly!

MCA helps keep air travel safe by mapping airports and obstructions to their surrounding airspace. Using the data we collect, airports design improvements, and the Federal Aviation Administration designs instrument flight procedures for safe, efficient airport approaches.

Just like their commercial counterparts, general aviation airports need to participate in the FAA master planning process to keep federal funds flowing.
