“People always ask what goes into custom stonework beyond just the standard template and install. The Royal Crest project of M&E Development Homes is the exact definition of pushing our shop and our installation crew to the absolute limit.
When a design calls for intricate details like this, it takes total alignment between precision CNC programming, hand-finishing, and careful handling on-site.
The Island: We took a classic look and elevated it by machining a custom flute right between a double bullnose profile. Getting that transition clean and consistent takes serious patience at the saw and router table.
The Fireplace: Working with red travertine requires a delicate touch. We custom-designed and fabricated this surround to make sure the movement and color veins lined up seamlessly from piece to piece.
The Powder Bath: We integrated a custom fluted apron straight into the sink design—clean lines, zero margin for error, and an incredible custom finish.
The Edges: Throughout the rest of the house, we carried heavy fat bullnose profiles that give the entire home a grounded, substantial architectural presence.
