Hose bib upgrade — repair + new install.

The existing hose bib failed from freezing, so we replaced it with new copper piping and added a proper shutoff valve.

We also installed a new hose bib on the front of the home that didn’t exist before — complete with a dedicated 1/2” PEX line, shutoff, and labeling for easy use.

This system had a clogged wet return and a failing Hartford Loop, so the boiler couldn’t get its water back.
The low-water cutoff kept calling for water, and the automatic feeder kept adding it — eventually pushing water up into a few radiators.

We cut out the bad piping, cleared the blockage, and repiped the return correctly so the boiler holds a steady waterline again.

If your boiler needs water often, makes noise, or spits from radiators…
it’s usually a clogged return.

Old 4” cast-iron sewer line was cracked and clogging nonstop.
We replaced the entire run with new 4” PVC, corrected slope, rebuilt the branches, and added a backwater valve to protect this NEPA basement from future backups.

Clean, reliable, and ready for another few decades.
