This is part 2 of last weeks pre insulated liner kit snafu….. so we got hung up with the pre insulated liner so today we were able to go back and strip the outer shell and insulation from a 7inch hybrid 316ti smoothwall liner…. It went right thru the offset without any hiccups… then we mixed and poured homesaver insulation mix and everything went without any issues…. We don’t do a lot of Woodstove liners ,, nothing compared to boiler and furnace chimney liners but wood always has to be insulated.. either pre insulated,, wrapped insulation or pour in insulation… it protects the clearances to combustibles,, it improves the draft once stack temperature is achieved which controls creosote buildup and it is per manufacturer installation instructions….. so it’s a lot more moving parts than liners for short cycled heating systems.. wood stoves run continuously and need that insulation for the above reasons…. Oh well…. The weekend is here….. everyone needs a few days off…. Back at it on Monday…. HOPE EVERYONE HAS A SAFE HOLIDAY WEEKEND….🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼

We snuck this in today even with the bad rain in forecast.. we did the liner Monday.. patched and acrylic sealed it today.. and it still hasnt rained yet… most importantly we were able to get like 20 liner estimates done between me and Justin…. It’s surprising how busy it is prior to Labor Day…. I knew the continuous cold this past winter was going to have a huge effect on people’s chimneys..I guess it’s starting to be discovered ….

2nd 316ti Stainless Steel chimney liner kit installed today… again this one needs a couple cosmetic patches and white Acrylic sealer….. liner list is pretty big so we at least want the liners done before it rained today and the repairs are all minor couple hour jobs we can compile into a single day when we just do a regular liner so everything levels itself out….

HAVE TO POST THE BAD WITH THE GOOD….this was yesterday’s flue break out and pre insulated liner for a woodstove… everything went fine till a small offset bound up the liner… well the outer shell that holds the insulation would not flex enough to get thru the offset..4 foot from bottom…… it was a 7 inch Hybrid smoothwall liner pre insulated so that extra inch got us bound up…. So we will take the shell and insulation off the Hybrid 7 and drop it into place and use pour in insulation one day next week……. Sometimes you eat Bear and sometimes the bear eats you….. that offset was not visible when flues were inside…. It was very gradual but once flue came out it became a ledge….. no worries….. Building a chimney right now… it’s a beautiful day out….

3rd 316ti Stainless Steel chimney liner kit today.. this one was for very small gas boiler that was re routed into this chimney that was not in use…..the boiler made a mess out of other chimney that you can see…. But they had a spare chimney😉Stainless steel liner will ensure no condensation freeze and thaw will ever touch inside of chimney and will ensure carbon monoxide is safely exuasted thru chimney… ….. ….all locked and loaded and ready for winter……. GOODNIGHT….
