This heat has been brutal lately 😂☀️

We’ve been out running wildlife calls every day, sweating right along with the critters. At this point, everybody needs a Gatorade. 😂🦝🦌🦨

Really proud of these guys and the work they’ve been putting in. Long days, hot attics, crawling under houses, setting traps — whatever it takes to get the job done.

And apparently our wildlife friends decided they deserved a break too. 😂

🚪 One-Way Doors — Wildlife Can Leave, But They Can’t Get Back In!

One-way doors are one of our favorite tools for wildlife removal. They allow animals to exit the structure on their own, while preventing them from getting back inside.

No chasing animals through the attic. No unnecessary trapping when exclusion is the better option. They simply head out like normal—then discover their key no longer works. 😂

Once we’re confident the animals are out, we remove the door and permanently seal the entry point.

🦨 Seeing More Skunks Lately? You’re Not Alone!

We’ve seen a BIG increase in skunk activity across South Central Kentucky lately — and there’s a reason for it!

Late summer is when many of this year’s young skunks are becoming independent and starting to roam. They’re searching for food, water, and new places to call home, which means they’re showing up around yards, crawlspaces, decks, sheds, garages, and drainage areas more often.

August and September can be some of the busiest months for skunk activity.

If you’re smelling skunks around your property or seeing one hanging around regularly, there may be more activity nearby than you realize.

🦝 Caught this little chicken-coop visitor! 🐔

We removed this opossum after it was found hanging around a chicken coop looking for an easy meal.

Opossums are actually one of our favorite animals to work with! They may look a little intimidating, but they’re fascinating animals and an important part of our local wildlife.

❤️ We safely release the opossums we catch whenever permitted and appropriate, giving them a chance to get back to doing what they do best—just somewhere they won’t be causing problems around chickens, pets, or homes!
