Swimming pools with plaster or pebble tech surfaces should never be drained during the hot months here in Arizona. There are small pockets of air in the plaster and pebble tech which will expand when exposed to heat and direct sun light. This will cause damage and shorten the life of your pool surface. As a rule of thumb day time temperatures need to be 85 degrees or less to drain a pool. The only valid reason to drain a pool in the summer time is if glass is broken in the pool or if you are resurfacing your pool like my customer in this picture.

Remember to remove pool toys which sink. They can get sucked up and cause problems.

Another quality filter installation by Tri City Pool Service. The customer upgraded from a sand filter to a cartridge filter. There are many advantages of cartridge filters. We have less water quality issues with pool that have cartridge filters vs sand filters. Also, building a cover over pool equipment will help it last up to 50% longer. Contact us for a free quote.
