Some pools are built on flat lots.

Others have to become part of the mountain.

This project demanded far more than forming a shell and filling it with water. Building into a steep desert hillside meant thinking about the pool as a structure first—working through elevation changes, access, excavation, retaining conditions, drainage, structural loads, and the logistics of moving men and materials through a site where there was very little room for error.

Then came the precision.

The pool had to land at exactly the right elevation to connect with the architecture of the home while creating the dramatic raised perimeter you see from the valley below. The spa, steps, water elevations, surrounding walls, hardscape, and landscape all had to come together as one coordinated system.

That’s what makes hillside construction different.

You aren’t simply building a pool. You’re engineering a structure into the terrain.

“It’s really about composition. Creating those major focal points and letting the landscape connect them together.

The water isn’t just a feature. The trees, flowers, walls, windows, and water all become part of the same picture.”

Deep blue mosaic tile, crisp stone coping, clean architectural lines, and those perfectly spaced arc fountains bring this pool to life.

The raised spa creates a subtle change in elevation while the water features add movement without taking away from the simplicity of the design.

Clean. Intentional. Timeless.
