This wall now holds 275+ bottles.

What was once a dining room wall is now a fully temperature-controlled wine wall designed around the homeowner’s collection.

Clear anodized aluminum and acrylic racking provide two-bottle-deep storage, while double display rows put select bottles front and center. Frameless glass and integrated LED lighting turn the collection into a feature of the dining space.

You don’t need a dedicated room to create substantial wine storage. Sometimes, the best opportunity is a wall you’re already looking at every day.

The next step after the wine fridge. 🍷

This custom wine wall holds approximately 320 bottles and measures 10’ high × 5’ wide × 2’ deep.

Floor-to-ceiling black wine racking stores bottles three deep, while the entire collection is temperature controlled and becomes part of the room instead of something tucked away.

Planning a wine cellar for a luxury build? Earlier is better.

Before framing, there are a few conversations worth having: How much wine does the client actually want to store?

Is there enough depth for the type of racking & refrigeration system they want? Where will the refrigeration equipment go?

And don’t forget budget-the design direction and the investment need to make sense together from the beginning.

We see firsthand how a few inches, a mechanical decision, or an unrealistic budget can completely change what’s possible.

This project is a great example of doing it right. The interior designer brought us in early, and the wine cellar was considered as part of the home from the beginning.

At Maple & Ash in Scottsdale, Arizona, the collection isn’t hidden in back-of-house storage. It’s part of the restaurant experience.

We’re seeing a shift in hospitality. Wine is moving out of the back of house and becoming part of the guest experience.

Instead, they balance bottle storage with open display areas, giving the collection room to breathe and allowing individual bottles to become part of the design.
