This kitchen was designed around a double island layout, with each island serving a different purpose. One functions as the prep island with the main sink, while the second is dedicated to storage, seating, and gathering, creating a more organized and functional workspace.

The layout also includes a dedicated range wall with a custom hood wrapped in the same countertop material for a clean, cohesive look. Opposite that is the appliance wall, housing the refrigerator, freezer, and built-in ovens to keep everything within easy reach while maintaining an open kitchen design.

A well-planned kitchen is about more than finishes. Separating prep, cooking, storage, and seating into dedicated zones creates a space that works better for everyday living and entertaining alike.

One of the biggest goals for this property was making sure the mountain views were part of the everyday experience. Instead of treating the views as something you only see from one room, the design was planned so different areas of the home capture Camelback Mountain from multiple angles.

From the bar area, higher windows frame the mountain while still maintaining privacy and natural light. Even simple moments like walking through the home or looking out from the front entry were considered so the view becomes part of the daily experience.

Great custom home design is about more than the rooms themselves. It’s about how the home connects to the property, the surroundings, and the way people move through the space.

From AI inspiration to real-life construction. 🐉

Our client came to us with an AI-generated vision for his Paradise Valley kitchen.

The challenge? Bringing that vision to life.

I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical about pairing the textured marble backsplash with the bold veining of the porcelain countertops. But seeing everything come together, I was pleasantly surprised!

We’re still waiting on a few appliances and finishing touches, but we’re almost at the finish line.

A lot of clients come to us with existing plans or a design already in mind, while others are starting completely from scratch and aren’t sure where to begin. Both situations are common, and the approach always starts with understanding where the project currently stands.

If plans already exist, we review them for feasibility, scope alignment, and constructability. If nothing is in place yet, we handle the full process including design development, planning, and permitting so the project can move forward in a structured way.

The key is meeting homeowners where they are in the process and then building a clear path forward from there. Every project is different, so the goal is always to create clarity, reduce uncertainty, and guide each step from concept through construction.

A kitchen can have plenty of beautiful finishes and still be frustrating to use if the layout isn't doing its job. We pay a lot of attention to where the sink, dishwasher, storage, and everyday prep areas sit because small changes in those relationships can make a kitchen feel completely different.

For this kitchen remodel, we reworked the space beneath the window to create a more practical work zone with the sink and dishwasher together, then added floating shelves for accessible storage. Keeping the workflow tight between cleaning, prep, and storage is one of those design decisions that isn't always obvious in the finished kitchen, but you notice it every day.
