Run For the Roses 5K & Kids' Fun Run

Grafton Lakes State Park, Grafton

Join runners and walkers at Grafton Lakes State Park for the annual Run for the Roses, a long-running community race that welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. The event features a scenic 5K race and a 1-mile Kids Run through one of the Capital Region's most beautiful state parks.

The 5K course begins on the park entrance road, travels along Route 2, loops around the town park, and returns via Long Pond Road. Participants will enjoy a mostly downhill first half before tackling uphill stretches on the return. Water stations, mile markers, and split times are provided along the route.

Children ages 1–12 can take part in the Kids Run, a fun 1-mile course that winds through the woods and along the beach before finishing beneath the race banner.

The Grafton Run for the Roses 5K is on Sunday August 9, 2026. It includes the following events: Run for the Roses 5K and Run for the Roses 1 Mile Kids Run.
