Not everything that's old and falling apart needs to be thrown away… and thank goodness for that, because I'd be in trouble. 🤣

This window had definitely seen better days, but nothing a little TLC and some elbow grease couldn't fix!

There's something satisfying about bringing something back to life instead of just replacing it. Plus, saving someone a little money along the way never hurts! 🙌

The Baker Street Remodel, Where We’re Starting

This one is going to be a fun one to look back on when it’s finished. 😅

We’re starting with an older home that needs a little bit of everything. Nothing fancy for the sake of being fancy, the goal here is to clean it up, repair what needs to be repaired, update the right areas, and leave the property looking and functioning considerably better than when we walked in.

Over the course of this project we’ll be tackling quite a bit, including:
🔨 Demo and removal of the old carport
🔨 Kitchen demo, flooring and updates
🔨 A bathroom remodel
🔨 Door and jamb repairs
🔨 Wall, trim and finish repairs
🔨 Painting, cleanup and plenty of smaller repairs throughout the home

And, like most older houses, I’m sure we’ll find a few surprises along the way. 😂

Projects like this are a big part of what I enjoy about what we do. It’s not always about tearing everything out and spending a fortune. Sometimes it’s about working with what you have, fixing things the right way, and putting the money where it actually makes a difference.

These pictures are Day 1.

I’ll be sharing plenty of the process as we go, and once we wrap it up, I’ll come back to this post with the finished Baker Street transformation.

😂 Looks like a beaver got ahold of this one…

This door jamb had definitely seen better days, but that’s exactly the kind of repair we enjoy tackling. Instead of covering up the damage and calling it good, we rebuilt the problem areas and got everything back solid, clean, and working like it should.

“What if business gets slow?”

That thought creeps in more than I’d like to admit. What if the phone stops ringing? What if the next job doesn’t come? What if I can’t keep this thing moving?

Then I have to remind myself… I was never supposed to carry all of it by myself.

My job is to keep showing up, keep working hard, treat people right, and keep building. The rest is in God’s hands. 🙏

Growing a small business without spending a fortune on ads is basically just yelling into the ocean and hoping somebody hears you. 🤣

One of the strangest parts about owning a business is realizing that sometimes the people you’ve never met will support you louder than the people you’ve known for years.

They’ll share your work, recommend your name, leave a review, or trust you in their home and honestly, that means more than they probably realize.

Building CTX Handi Works has taught me a lot about hard work, consistency, and just continuing to show up even when it feels like nobody’s watching.

So to every customer, follower, stranger, and person who has supported this little business in any way, thank you. Seriously. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
