Ignore the windows for a second. Look along the bottom of the door. See that daylight?

Close your own garage door, turn off the lights and check along the bottom and sides. If light is coming through, the weather seal may not be making full contact—leaving room for drafts, moisture, dirt and unwanted little visitors.

The good news? A visible gap doesn’t automatically mean you need a new garage door. Sometimes the fix is much simpler.

Not a call center. Not someone three states away reading from a script. Vanessa.

She handles the calls, the questions, the scheduling and yes, the occasional “my garage door is making a weird noise and I have absolutely no idea how to describe it.”

Meanwhile, Todd and the crew are out fixing doors throughout the Capital Region.

It’s a pretty simple setup. The people you talk to are the same people behind the business.

That’s what local is supposed to feel like.

Sometimes fixing the problem means changing the setup.

Todd found a stretched-out extension spring on this door. Rather than simply replacing it with more of the same, he converted the door from an extension spring system to a torsion spring setup.

Why the change? Torsion systems provide more controlled, balanced movement and keep the spring system mounted above the door instead of stretched alongside the tracks.
