Landmark Preservation Landmark Preservation, LLC is dedicated to the preservation of historic structures and sites that represent the fabric of America’s architectural heritage.

Based in Savannah, Georgia, with a satellite office at the Atlanta Preservation Center, our team of historic preservationists has worked around the country on projects ranging from private homes to large historic sites that are open to the public. Historic Savannah is a natural home base for the company, as it contains some of the finest landmarks and American architecture in the country. Landmark’s founders, Greg Jacobs and John Ecker, draw inspiration from the city and carry their passion for historic preservation and commitment to preserving our shared history to each project they take on.

Check out this video of our own Fred Ecker discussing work Landmark is conducting at Meadow Gardens (the house built in 1791 by George Walton, signer of the Declaration of Independence.) Landmark is recreating a long lost stairwell. Click the link to watch how these stairs were accurately reconstructed despite very little documentation as to its appearance and configuration.
