🚧 ODOT Seeking Public Input on Proposed Roundabout at SR 96 & SR 545/Olivesburg-Fitchville Road

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is currently accepting public comments on the proposed project to convert the existing stop-controlled intersection at State Route 96 and State Route 545/Olivesburg-Fitchville Road (CR 77) into a single-lane roundabout.

This is an opportunity for residents, commuters, farmers, business owners, and others who regularly travel through this intersection to review the project information and share their thoughts directly with ODOT.

If you choose to submit comments, constructive, thoughtful feedback is the most beneficial. Consider sharing your experience using the intersection, asking questions about traffic flow, or providing input on how the proposed design may affect farm equipment, school buses, emergency vehicles, semi-trucks, or other larger vehicles. Specific observations and questions are generally more helpful than simply expressing support or opposition.

Update 8/20/26. The position has been filled.

The Village of Savannah is currently accepting applications for the position of Village Worker. Responsibilities include but not limited to: mowing, snow removal, pesticide spraying, light tree trimming, park maintenance, and minor street work. Light machinery and outdoor equipment experience is helpful. Must be able to work independently. Hours vary from 2-15 hrs per week. Wage is negotiable. This past weekend for the first time in many years. An ODNR Hunter Education class was held at the Town Hall. There were 26 participants all passed the course. The furthest traveled from Toledo to attend! The course instructors (all local to our area), thank the Clear Creek trustees for facilitating this event!!!

Annual school supply give away, sponsored by the Savannah-Crestview Lions Club will be Thursday, August 6th, beginning at 11:30 am. This is in addition to the last Bookmobile visit, lunch, and activity in Academy Park for the summer.
