There are insecticide treatments to reduce the risk of EAB, but those treatments will need to be done consistently. Talk with a certified arborist about whether your ash trees are high value enough to invest in saving them. The MNLA website will have a directory of arborists.

Officials believe the Emerald Ash Borer came to Minnesota in 2009, and as it spreads across the state, experts say almost all of our ash tree population is now considered to be critically endangered.
