For this multi-family property in Lake Delton, our proposal included replacing the roof-to-wall flashing in areas which could have otherwise led to problems down the road. It added to the upfront cost of the project, but it was work we believed was important to include.

The property ultimately chose Badgerland Exteriors & Solar even though we weren’t the lowest bid.

RCV is the cost to replace your roof with a comparable new one. Unlike Actual Cash Value (ACV), it doesn’t reduce that amount because of your roof’s age or normal wear and tear.

When does this come into play?

Your insurance policy determines whether your roof is covered based on Replacement Cost Value (RCV) or Actual Cash Value (ACV). Understanding the difference can make insurance conversations a little easier if you ever need to file a claim.
