Change orders get a bad reputation, usually because somewhere a homeowner got surprised by one late in a project with no explanation. That's not how we handle them.
A change order happens when something outside the original scope comes up: a wall opens up and reveals old wiring that needs replacing, a homeowner decides mid-project they want a different tile. Those things happen on almost every job of any size.
What matters is whether you're told before the work happens, with a clear reason and a clear cost, or after the fact with an invoice. We do the former, always.
If you've been burned by surprise costs on a past project, ask us how we handle scope changes before you sign anything.
