One of the things I love most about renovation and adaptive reuse is that not every great home needs to start with a teardown. In neighborhoods like Arlington, there’s an opportunity to preserve the scale and spirit of the street while completely reimagining how a home lives and functions.

This Prospect Street project transforms a modest single-story house into a modern two-story residence designed around light, privacy, and indoor/outdoor living — while still respecting the existing site and mature trees that make these older neighborhoods special.
