A look back at one of our favorite projects!

About two years ago, our team completed a full renovation of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County's two floor headquarters, and we're still proud of how it turned out.

The project touched every corner of the building. Office spaces, conference rooms, work areas and restrooms were all reimagined to create a more open, collaborative environment for their staff. Behind the scenes, we installed a brand new HVAC system for better comfort and air quality and gave the building a fully replaced roof for lasting durability and efficiency. High end finishes throughout tied it all together, reflecting the Foundation's commitment to excellence.

It was meaningful to help an organization like the Community Foundation upgrade their space, because a better workplace for their team meant an even stronger ability to serve the Sarasota community.

Some projects come full circle! 🍋

Our design-build team completed the Lemon Avenue Streetscape project for the City of Sarasota in 2019 — and this is actually the second time our team has worked on this very street.

Back in 2008, we handled the first phase, upgrading the aging utility infrastructure below ground. This time around, our focus was above ground: creating a seamless space where pedestrians and vehicles share the street naturally, tying together a cohesive, one-of-a-kind stretch of downtown Sarasota.

Derick is one of the newest additions to our project management team, bringing a keen eye for detail and a commitment to doing things the right way. As a Project Manager, he takes pride in keeping projects organized, communicating clearly, and ensuring every detail is accounted for from start to finish.

His clients enjoy working with him because he is thorough, dependable, and always follows through on his commitments. Building strong relationships and delivering quality projects are at the heart of everything he does, and we're excited to have him on the Swift team.

Outside the office, Derick enjoys spending time with his family. A fun fact about him: He earned a degree in Audio Engineering before beginning his career in construction.

Big news from Team Swift!

After more than 20 years in the same home, we're excited to share that we'll be moving our main offices to 237 Interstate Blvd here in Sarasota by the end of the year!

This is a huge milestone for our company, and we couldn't be more excited for this next chapter. More updates to come as the move gets closer — stay tuned!

We had an amazing turnout for our Garden Elementary School Supplies Drive!

Thanks to the generosity of our incredible team, we raised $1,180 in staff donations — and Jon F. Swift Construction matched that support to bring our total contribution to $2,360 in school supplies for the students at Garden Elementary School.

From notebooks and crayons to binders and folders, our team came together to make sure local kids start the school year prepared and excited to learn.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped organize this drive. Community support like this is what makes Jon F. Swift Construction more than just a workplace — it's a work family that gives back.

Ten years is no small milestone, and Tina Bowen has spent nearly all of them keeping Team Swift running like a well-oiled machine.

As one of our Project Coordinators, Tina keeps her Project Manager in line (someone has to!) and makes sure every project's administrative and bookkeeping details are on point — the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps our jobs moving smoothly from start to finish.

Outside the office, Tina brings that same sense of adventure to life — she's always planning her next trip and chasing new places to explore. We love that energy, Tina, both on the job and off!

Throwback Thursday to a project we're still proud of: Bayfront Park on Longboat Key!

Back in 2017, Swift served as Construction Manager on this $3.5M renovation for the Town of Longboat Key, transforming the waterfront into a true community gathering place — complete with dog parks, pickleball courts, a kayak launch and storage, and walking and biking paths.

We're proud of the work, but even prouder that so many of these community spaces are still buzzing with life today. That's the kind of impact we build for.

Progress is moving in the right direction at Garden Elementary for Sarasota County Schools!

Our team has been hard at work on-site, with paving, sitework, and building construction all progressing side by side. It's exciting to watch this project take shape and get closer to the finish line.
