Due to the heavy rainfall and severe weather affecting our area, our lawn maintenance schedules are currently running behind.

Our crews are working hard to catch up, but saturated lawns and ongoing rain can make mowing unsafe and potentially cause damage to your property.

Due to the significant amount of rain we've received this week, our mowing schedule is currently running behind. While the rain is great for our landscapes, it also means many lawns are too wet to mow without risking damage to the turf or leaving ruts.

Our crews are working extended hours to catch up, and we are doing everything possible to service every property as quickly as conditions safely allow.

Many homeowners believe w**d mat (landscape fabric) under mulch is the best way to prevent w**ds… but after years of maintaining landscape beds throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties, we’ve found it often creates MORE problems over time.

Here are a few reasons why we generally do NOT recommend w**d barrier fabric under mulch beds:

❌ Weeds still grow on top of the fabric
❌ Mulch can no longer improve the soil underneath
❌ Water and oxygen movement become restricted
❌ Old fabric becomes difficult and messy to remove

Instead, we recommend using a proper layer of quality mulch combined with regular garden maintenance for healthier plants and better-looking landscape beds.
