Large branch over the roof. Under normal circumstances, I would have recommended not to remove a branch that large, however the customer was told by the insurance company it has to be removed. A lot of rigging to get the branch safely to the ground, we used a combination of speedlines and natural crotch rigging.

Customer had some large branches growing very close to the roof. With a wood deck wrapping the whole side and back of house, nearly every piece had to be rigged down. In the end nearly the entire roof had sunshine after all was finished.

A canopy lift on a couple Royal Poinciana's. Customer was concerned new sod was not getting enough sunlight, and the lower branches in some cases were at head height. Canopy was rased and laterally pruned back to give more clearance and a little more sunlight along the property line.

Pruned a Chinese Cinnamon tree this morning. Unfortunately I forgot to take the before picture until I started. The trunk was not visible due to epicormic growth as a result most likely from previous line clearance pruning. Cleaned the lower portion of the tree up, pruned the growth away from the communication lines and pruned some deadwood. While working a neighbor hired me to remove a dead hanger over the house. Had to climb up and rope the branch down.

Had a nasty dead Pine tree covered in vines. Was difficult to tell how rotten the tree was at the time of the estimate due to the mass of vines covering it. Needless to say it was more rotten than I anticipated. Out of a 20" dia tree, there was only about 12" of solid wood holding it up the rest was literally dust. With the aid of a pull rope, was able to safely drop it along the edge of the property.

Hard to see a difference between two pictures, this young Oak has some deadwood prunes as well as some structural pruning. In urban landscape it is important to prune young trees to ensure good structure, as well as fit the landscape better. Common defects such as co-dominant branches or poor branch aspect ratio cab be minimized with proper pruning when a tree is young.

Very thick Bismarck Palm removal. Broke the number one rule and bid this one from a picture. Was quite a bit thicker than anticipated, but got down and in the trailer. That saw is roughly 45" long for reference.

Ganaderma also known as butt rot is a fungus that is deadly to all palms. Originally was looking for pruning however the poor appearance of the one on the right made me investigate further. The basidiocarp (conk) at the base is one of the only visible ways to diagnose Ganaderma. Both palms presented the basidiocarp at the base, and after removal it was discovered both had significant rot at the base to the point of already being hollow. It was recommended that both be removed and stumps ground out, so the spore producing basidiocarp can not continue to grow and spread to other nearby palms. It was also recommended that no other palms be planted in that area due to the possibility of spores still in the soil in the immediate area.
