I’m thrilled to share that my poster ALTO was selected as one of top 10 works featured in Frame the Future! at the Los Angeles Central Library!

Presented by FORT: LA, the exhibition invited creative thinkers to imagine bold possibilities for housing in Los Angeles through a poster, slogan, and manifesto—turning complex ideas about affordability, density, community, and urban life into compelling visions for the city’s future.

ALTO explores how we might reimagine housing and build a more inclusive future for Los Angeles.

Some of the most memorable places aren’t grand gestures—they’re the quiet moments in between.

At 1721 Webster Street in Oakland, this small space between two restroom entrances on the lounge level became an opportunity rather than leftover square footage. Wrapped in warm wood-veneer wallcovering, the intervention transforms a purely functional passage into a moment of calm, texture, and delight.

Placemaking isn’t always about creating new destinations. Sometimes it’s about recognizing the potential hidden in the spaces people pass through every day.

Good design pays attention to the moments most people overlook.

At the intersection of Hollywood and Argyle, this sculptural fountain creates more than an arrival sequence—it creates a destination. Inspired by movement, light, and the energy of Hollywood, the water feature anchors the public realm, transforming the hotel entrance into a vibrant gathering place. By day and night, the interplay of water, architecture, landscape, and light blurs the boundary between street and destination, demonstrating how thoughtful design can elevate the everyday experience of the city.
