While you potheads out there -- you know who you are! -- are celebrating 4/20, today for me is No W**d Day. The city has come through with blocks and blocks of mulch for our long-running guerilla gardening project along the Expo Line (E-Line) Bike Path. First staff knocked down a whole bunch of weeds and then it spread tons of the brown gold. My joy is unmeasurable (or actually it kind of is -- 300 cubic yards worth). Thank you very muLch, Culver City! Thanks also to my partners in the effort, the endlessly persistent Lynn Cutchin, her sweet husband Chris Smith and the long suffering Stephen Roe.
