Mentally, we’re all still young enough to make questionable decisions. Humor-wise, we never really matured past laughing at dumb jokes around a campfire. But physically, one night on the wrong sleeping pad and suddenly we’re moving around camp like we survived a historical battle.
Van life and camping have a special way of reminding you exactly how old your knees, hips, and back are. You can wake up to the most beautiful mountain sunrise of your life and still need three sound effects just to get out of a camp chair.
But that’s part of the deal. We may creak, groan, stretch, and complain a little more than we used to, but we’re still out here. Still chasing sunsets. Still making coffee outside. Still proving that adventure doesn’t have an age limit, even if our joints would like to file a formal complaint.
