Years in the making, The Next Wave expansion at Pacific Marine Mammal Center is transforming a facility that has been saving marine life for more than 50 years.

Expanded animal care. New research and education spaces. And a state-of-the-art water reclamation system designed to recycle up to 90% of the facility’s water…saving an estimated **15,000 gallons every day.**

Empire has been proud to help bring this multi-year project to life.

Progress continues at **Brandy Melville, Westwood, CA**, where our team is updating and restoring a building that has stood for more than a century bringing it into its next chapter while respecting the structure that’s already stood the test of time.

In this update, our Superintendent walks us through the structural work happening behind the scenes and what it takes to modernize a building like this without losing what makes it unique.
