Build-Dawgs Home Solutions is looking to build relationships with reliable subcontractors.

We're looking to add a few quality crews to our contact list for upcoming projects throughout Southern Maine and into New Hampshire.

Currently looking for: • Roofing • Siding • Drywall (hang, tape & finish) • Basement framing • Insulation • Interior finish carpentry • Flooring (LVP, laminate, hardwood, tile)

If you're interested, send me a DM with:
Service(s) you provide
General service area
Availability
Labor pricing (sq. ft., linear ft., hourly, or per project)
A few photos of recent work if you have them

I'd rather build long-term relationships with dependable contractors than constantly search for new crews. We have several projects coming up and are looking for people we can work with consistently.

Please DM me rather than commenting so the thread doesn't get too cluttered.

Framing complete. On to drywall.

Another milestone reached on this steel building.

We started with an empty shell and have now completed the interior framing, including the walls, lofts, window and door openings, and layouts. Everything has been framed with the next phase in mind so the project keeps moving smoothly.

Next up is drywall, which we'll also be handling before moving on to the remaining finish work.
Projects like this are a reminder that good construction starts long before the paint goes on. Every phase builds on the last, and taking the time to get the framing right makes everything that follows go together better.

Whether you're planning a garage, addition, basement finish, deck, porch, window replacement, or rot repair, we'd be happy to take a look and put together an estimate.

Another project moving right along.

This one is the interior build-out of a steel building that will eventually become a dog boarding and training facility. We've been framing the entire interior—laying out rooms, rough openings, lofts, and preparing everything for the next phases.

One thing I enjoy about projects like this is starting with an empty shell and turning it into a functional building. Every wall, window, doorway, and layout has to be thought through before the drywall ever goes up.

Whether it's: • Additions • Basements • Garages & steel building interiors • Windows & doors • Decks & porches • Rot repair

The goal is always the same: build it right so the finished product lasts.
If you've got a project you're planning before winter, now is a good time to start the conversation.

Every leak has a story.

This homeowner called after high winds and heavy rain started causing major leaks through the roof. Once we stripped the shingles, we found the problem wasn't the shingles themselves—it was what was underneath.

The original waterproofing along the eaves and rake edges had failed over time, and the roof sheathing had been fastened with staples instead of code-compliant ring-shank nails. Wind-driven rain doesn't need much of an opening to find its way inside.

To repair it, we:
✔️ Re-fastened the roof sheathing with ring-shank nails.
✔️ Installed ice & water shield along the first three feet of the eaves.
✔️ Covered the remaining roof with synthetic underlayment.
✔️ Sealed all pipe boots and roof penetrations with a waterproof membrane before reroofing.

I'm happy to say the leaks are gone.

Now we'll move inside to assess any water damage and get the home back to where it should be.

If you've noticed leaks after heavy rain or wind, don't assume you need a whole new roof. Sometimes the answer is finding the real cause and repairing it correctly.

Good morning! ISO a local metal fabricator/welder

Little different project we're working on!

We're currently framing out the interior of a steel building for a local dog business here in southern Maine, and the customer is looking for someone to fabricate five metal gates, roughly 3' × 3', similar to the picture.

I'd love to find someone local who does good, clean metal fabrication and takes pride in their work. I'll get you connected with the customer to go over final measurements, design, and pricing.

If you do this kind of work or know somebody you'd recommend, tag them below or send me a message!

A good project should do more than look better when it’s finished.

It should give you more usable space, solve an existing problem, and hold up the way it’s supposed to.

• Additions
• Basement finishing
• Rot and structural repair

Whether it’s creating a better outdoor space, adding room to the house, finishing unused square footage, or repairing damage before it spreads, the goal is the same: understand the problem, build it correctly, and leave the homeowner with something they can depend on.

If you have a project you’ve been thinking about, feel free to message the page with a few photos and a basic description of what you’re looking to do.

Not every project starts with something new.
Sometimes it starts with a phone call after something has gone wrong.

This restaurant experienced a burst pipe that caused extensive damage to the subfloor and flooring. We removed everything that was beyond saving, repaired the damaged subfloor, and installed new light commercial-rated floating vinyl plank flooring to get them back up and running.

Every project is different, but the goal is always the same: fix the problem correctly and leave it better than we found it.
I appreciate the opportunity to help local businesses get back on their feet.

A while back, we built the deck outside this addition.

Now we're wrapping up the interior portion with new paneling, new windows where old sliders used to be, and a new sliding patio door.

It's always rewarding seeing a project come together in stages. What started as improving the outdoor living space has turned into a bright, comfortable room with an incredible view.

Just about ready for paint and the final finishing touches.

I appreciate every homeowner who trusts us with their projects, whether it's a small repair or a larger transformation like this one.

Finished up another phase of this second-floor addition.

New windows where old sliders used to be, new sliding patio door, and fresh wall coverings throughout. Just about ready for paint.

Not a bad office view for the day.
