JOB SITE FINDS: COPPERHEAD EDITION

You never know what you’re going to uncover when you’re clearing land in North Georgia…

When you spend your days mulching and clearing land, you’re bound to run into some of the local residents.

Sometimes it’s bunnies. 🐇
Sometimes it’s turtles. 🐢
Sometimes it’s deer. 🦌

And this time…

A copperhead. 🐍😳

He was tucked away in the brush when we came through with the mulcher. He managed to slither away, but unfortunately didn’t make it.

Job Site Finds Friday 🚜

Most days it’s old fence wire, rusty pipe, and enough rocks to start our own quarry. Every now and then, though, the ground decides to return something a little more interesting.

This time, it was an old spike aerator that had apparently been in long-term storage… underground. Somewhere, someone probably wrote that thing off years ago.

What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve found on your property?

Bamboo may look beautiful, but it can become one of the most aggressive plants on your property.

Its underground root system, called rhizomes, can spread far beyond what you see above ground. That means simply cutting down the visible bamboo doesn’t always stop it from coming back.

At Clear Path Tractor Works, we can remove the existing bamboo growth and help reclaim your land. However, long-term eradication requires ongoing management of the underground root system, which may include additional steps such as excavation, barriers, or treating new growth as it appears.

Bamboo removal and bamboo eradication are two different things. Understanding the difference helps set the right expectations when reclaiming your property.
