Not Evert Boat Has A Story Like This One ⚓️

We’ve got a pretty special project coming through the Firelands Canvas shop.

We’re currently working on a custom aft cover for an absolutely stunning 1939 Lyman — a genuine piece of Great Lakes maritime history.

This isn’t just an old boat. This is a vessel that has been fully restored by Classic Marine and proudly owned by the Sandusky Maritime Museum.

Decades of history. Countless miles on the water. And now, a little bit of Firelands Canvas craftsmanship helping to preserve it for the future. 🪡

And if you’re local, you can see this incredible Lyman for yourself at the Sandusky Maritime Museum. It’s one of those boats that makes you stop, stare and appreciate just how beautifully boats used to be built.

We’re honored to have a hand in keeping a piece of Sandusky’s maritime history protected and looking its absolute best.

Custom work can become cool outside of the box projects! Zozo 🐕 spends her summers on this 33 Silverton Convertible, but has slipped off the bridge a time or few 🫣

Not anymore Zozo! A custom safety screen was made to keep her safe and sound up top while under way or chilling at the dock 👌🏽

And to match, a custom window cover was made to cool down the cabin and bring a little more style to this awesome fly bridge boat.

Another custom job out the door! 🔥⚓️

We just wrapped up a brand-new set of custom Sunbrella floor runners for this beautiful 33’ Silverton Convertible, and they came out awesome!

Built from Toast Tweed Sunbrella canvas, these runners offer a clean, finished look while giving the boat excellent durability and wear resistance where it matters most.

✅ 100% custom fit to the boat
✅ Snaps in each corner for a secure, clean installation
✅ Full hatch access without removing the entire runner
✅ Custom Velcro access panels for easy entry and service

Another one wrapped up. ⚓

This complete canvas package turned out awesome.

We went with black Sunbrella for both the front and rear bimini tops, a full Strataglass enclosure up front, and screened-in U-shapes across the back to keep the cockpit open and comfortable with plenty of airflow.

The combination gives this boat a great look while still keeping it functional — shade when you want it, protection when you need it, and ventilation when you want to enjoy the breeze.

Everything was custom fit and sewn right here at Firelands Canvas using Lifetime SolarFix thread throughout.

Another boat ready to enjoy some time on the water. 😎

This beautiful BENETEAU enclosure was completed in the Spring before she splashed and each time we walk by we cant help but give it that silent knod of approval 🙂‍↕️

Black Sunbrella just flows perfectly with the black accents and a full Tuffak polycarbonate surround locks in the style & comfort of flawless semi rigid glass. The Strataglass doorway unzips and hinges over to buckle up like a fully functional doorway. Lifetime solarfix thread and heavy duty #10 locking marine grade zippers hold it all together along with a little hidden tracking work.

She. Is. CLEAN. 👌🏾🫧

Built For The Big Boats 🛥

We built a full custom bridge enclosure for this 53' Hatteras Convertible. A combination of Strataglass and Tuffak polycarbonate gives this enclosure incredible visibility while adding the protection this bridge deserves.

Finished in white Stamoid and stitched with lifetime SolarFix thread, every panel was patterned, cut, and built specifically for this vessel.

And we didn't want to simply close it in—we wanted to keep it feeling like a command center 🛳

🪡 Custom U-shaped ventilation openings keep the air moving and the space comfortable.

✂️ A full roll-up entry door makes getting in and out easy

👀 Huge clear panels keep the view wide open while you're underway

🪛 Nearly every panel is secured zipper to zipper for a no nonsense install

📐 Every cut, curve, zipper, and attachment point is built to the boat

This was a big job with huge panels, taking a whole lot of time and craftsmanship behind it, with no room for error.

And the finished product?
-Absolutely badass ⚓️

A Touch of Teak, A Whole New Look ⚓️

This 39' Silverton Motor Yacht just got a serious upgrade.

We installed brand-new Corinthian Marine AquaMat throughout the bridge and aft deck in Natural Teak Cream — giving this yacht that classic teak look with a clean, modern finish.

But this one isn’t just an off-the-shelf flooring install.

Every piece was custom fit, cut, and bound right here at Firelands Canvas, with Sunbrella Toast binding to perfectly complement the Natural Teak Cream.

🔥 FULL CANVAS SURROUND | Sportsman 262 ⚓️

This brand-new Sportsman 262 Center Console received the full Firelands treatment — and this one is all about the details 🪡

The T-Top was tracked in with black Flex-O-Rail, paired with a custom blacked-out zipper welt for a clean, finished look and easy installation of the 4-piece canvas surround.

Built from black Sunbrella, the full surround provides protection throughout the cockpit while keeping the boat looking sharp and ready for the water. Custom-cut cleat access points keep functionality right where it needs to be, with Velcro closures sealing them up when not in use.

And because the details matter, every stitch was locked in with lifetime SolarFix thread for maximum durability and long-term performance.
