It’s hard to believe this was a year ago! The house is now in its final stages, and we can’t wait to see it finished. We enjoy taking on challenging sites like this, so wrapping up our part is always a little bittersweet.

When someone calls and asks us to dig a pond with a lazy river and an island in the middle, we say yes. Then, we ask if we should bring the floaties and pack a cooler too! This project was a fun one to be a part of.

It’s easy to look at a smooth driveway or a level yard and assume it was always that way. That’s the goal. We plan for the rock, drainage, underground utilities, and final grade so everything works the way it should. Once it’s finished, you shouldn’t have to think about any of it.

This driveway rebuild had plenty of rock to work through! Swipe to see where this one started and the finished result. We widened and rebuilt the existing access to create a safer, more usable driveway. Driveways can make or break a property, so it’s important to get them right from the start, or fix them when they’re not.

This project has been years in the making. We first walked the lot with the owners before they made an offer on the land, talking through what it would take to build here. Plans have evolved and the full excavation is down the road, but this summer we were able to take the first step by relocating the overhead power underground to make room for the future home. We’re excited to see this secondary waterfront project come to life soon!

Homes with incredible mountain views often come with steep terrain and challenging driveways. A little rock breaking goes a long way toward improving the grade and making access easier and more reliable year-round. ⛰️

We’re glad to see some much-needed rain and blue skies. Hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend 🌦️
