You may be wondering… where did all the flowers go? 🌸
Sometimes I look out at the field at the end of the season and wonder the same thing.
After months of planting tiny seeds, tending seedlings, pulling weeds, watering, cutting, arranging, hauling buckets and watching this place slowly come alive… suddenly the season is over and the flowers are gone.
But they didn’t really disappear. They became part of people’s lives.
They went to weddings, birthdays, baby showers, girls’ nights, celebrations, quiet everyday moments… and even a funeral.
Some left wrapped in paper.
Some went out by the bucketful.
Some were picked by little hands in the field.
Some were carried home by families who came simply to slow down and enjoy something beautiful together.
And people came from all over — Utah, Oregon, Alabama, California, Montana, Colorado, Arkansas and more.
Because this field started as something I needed for myself.
I needed somewhere to put my hands in the dirt. Somewhere to quiet my mind. Somewhere to move my body, breathe fresh air and feel like I was creating something beautiful during a season of my own life when I desperately needed that.
And somehow, over time, this place became that for other people too. That may be my favorite part of all.
When I’m out here working, it’s easy to think I’m just growing flowers. But then I remember where they go.
A bride carries them down the aisle.
A new mama is celebrated with them.
Someone receives them on their birthday.
Friends laugh together with them sitting on the table.
Someone grieving is reminded that they are loved.
A child walks through the field and proudly holds up the flower they chose all by themselves.
A tired mom gets a quiet evening outside.
A family makes a memory together.
And suddenly, those flowers become so much more than flowers.
They become comfort.
Celebration.
Connection.
Joy.
Memories.
That is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
This field has given me so much over the years, and knowing that it has also given something to so many of you is something I will never take for granted.
So thank you.
Thank you for walking through the field.
Thank you for filling your buckets.
Thank you for trusting me with your weddings and celebrations.
Thank you for bringing your children.
Thank you for telling your friends.
Thank you for carrying little pieces of this place home with you.
When I look back at this season, I don’t just see flowers.
I see stories.
I see people.
I see memories being made.
And I see a little dream that started in the dirt becoming something so much bigger than I ever imagined. 💗🌿🌸
