This was our last project of the season and what a project it was! The previous entry consisted of a walkway with rotting timber trends and spalling bricks along with a randomly stacked fieldstone retaining wall. Solomon Stoneworks came in and built this swooping staircase with reclaimed red clay brick landings and walkway, NH granite steps and several New England dry-laid fieldstone retaining walls. We installed two, 6-foot granite steps at the bottom of the staircase as you approach the front entry; seven, 5-foot granite steps that take you to the front door; and four, 3-foot granite steps and brick walkway to access the garden area. Swenson Granite Works - A Polycor Inc. Company The mix of natural stonework compliments this mid-century modern house.

Last year we built a beautiful new entry for this lake house. This year the homeowner wanted to extend the new walkway to improve accessibility to the backyard to the lake. We also added a NH granite step and stepping stones to transition to the backyard. The walkway extension completes the overall transformation of this entryway.

Solomon Stoneworks created this new front entry out of natural stone for this house tucked in the woods. Built out of thin Pennsylvania fieldstone, the curved retaining wall provides a terraced space near the front of the house. We added a full-color Pennsylvania flagging walkway with full-color bluestone trends.
