A creative space designed with purpose. 🎨
For this custom ADU in San Rafael, our client envisioned a warm, inviting space that could function as both a creative studio and a gallery for her artwork.
Working closely with our client, the G Design team developed a distinctive material palette that reflects her personal style and love of color, natural textures, and timeless finishes.
At the heart of the space, Benjamin Moore Hale Navy cabinetry creates a beautiful contrast against clear-finished walnut shelving and a custom walnut hood. Soft blush walls bring warmth to the interior, while satin brass fixtures and polished brass hardware add timeless, refined details. The client’s hand-painted ceramic tiles contribute a personal, artistic touch, making the ADU feel deeply connected to the person who lives and creates there.
From the initial material selections to the finished construction, every detail was thoughtfully considered to bring her vision to life. The result is a highly personalized space that serves as both a functional studio and a welcoming setting for displaying her work.
Because great design isn’t about creating the same look every time. It’s about creating a space that feels uniquely yours.
