Milling up some old lumber this week for a series of craftsman gates. These two gates are the result. Nice to have the old cedar scent in the shop again.

Evening light check on this native Nor Cal installation as we button it up.. Lighting makes such a huge impact on almost any landscape installation, this one being no different. The manzanita will be a key part of the entry over time and I’m looking forward to watching how they mature and integrate with the entrance. Thanks with the planting input!

MIll Valley CA. Welded steel entry. This one is a fun gate design composed of 2x3 and 2x2 tubing with an alternating “floating rail” pattern. The arbor also welded steel and in my opinion what makes this simple design work is the recessed lighting within the arbor. The fencing is a horizontal round bar detail fabricated on site.
