Colorado Springs Utilities has approved changes to solar net metering. If you’re considering solar, April 1, 2027 is a key date: agreements dated before then won’t transition to the new net metering rates until April 1, 2032.

A battery adds value now, too. It helps you use more of the solar power your home produces and can provide backup power during an outage. As CSU’s rate structure changes, it also gives you more flexibility in when you use that energy.
