Saturn has another geometric mystery.
We already knew about the famous six-sided storm around Saturn’s north pole.
Now Hubble has revealed something completely different at the south pole: a huge atmospheric pattern with TEN sides.
It isn't a giant structure floating above the planet.
It's a wave within Saturn's atmosphere, where fast-moving gases interact with slower-moving material closer to the pole.
And scientists still don't fully understand why this strange pattern formed — or how long it will survive.
Saturn just keeps getting weirder. 🪐
