Had an amazing weekend up north with Breakfast Club Rally®. Saw some amazing cars, and a few planes as well. And yes, the tiny shortened orange Honda is freeway legal.

Working on a batch caps from repurposed 1950’s Japanese firefighter jackets. First pic is the outside, second pic is the lining on the inside. Third pic is a custom order for a friend. I know, I know, people keep DMing me asking when I’m gonna start selling these. Again, a week or two. I got about 20 that are almost done. If you’ve messaged me and I messaged back you’re on my first dibs list and I’ll send you the for sale list before I post them on the website

As someone with pretty bad ADHD I find doing repetitive work like hand stitching calms my mind. This African mudcloth textile is about 4 feet long. Still got a ways to go till all of it is finished.

This is by far one of the prettiest Japanese firefighter jackets I’ve come across. The illustrations woven on the coats interior are a work of art. I don’t think this coat was ever worn.

I came to this country as a child, not speaking any English they just made me repeat 3rd grade figuring I could learn English from other kids cause you know, children aren’t cruel or anything. On my first day the teacher sat me down next to another poor sap and said “you’re both immigrants you should sit together”. The guy was a an as***le and I was a jerk but he had the upper hand because he was from Ireland and could speak English which meant he made my life miserable with words while I could only pantomime. 40 years later and we are still friends, he’s still an as***le but he’s a talented as***le and opinionated and I don’t know what my talent is but I know it’s there and I’m also opinionated and I’m still a jerk. I’m closing this weekend to go celebrate his birthday, argue and give him s**t. Also, I hate this fu@&$ng song.
