We’re so excited to share some preliminary photos from our House for a Collector where custom milled white oak and a polished stone surface are used to clad this dual-sided fireplace dividing the formal living room and the more informal family room.

With such a neutral palette, texture, grain and reflectivity played a big role in this project. We collaborated throughout construction with the contractor and fabricators to get it just right. We can’t wait to see our client’s art installed!

In this Cole Valley addition, new decking, fencing and siding are composed in a playful way - by shifting the orientation of linear pieces - to harmonize new and existing openings.

The exterior siding for the rear addition at Rivoli House changes orientation at each surface transition, allowing old and new elements to coexist harmoniously (while also looking rad).
