Sneak peek at the ultra-luxe dog bar.

Custom homes are our work, and every client gets the same attention. This one is an 11-year-old rescue pup settling into the condo of her dreams. Zoom in on the tile at her dog bar.

16,000 square feet of drywall. Four stories. No practical way up the stairs.

So our team removed a window on each floor, and a skilled hydraulic forklift operator did the rest! Solving problems like this is what an experienced crew brings to a renovation.

Every Detail Earned Its Place

Built in 1890 for Joseph Budde, this home lost its original staircase and entry when Haight Street widened for the railway line in the 1920s. Stucco and terrazzo covered the handmade carpentry, and by the 1990s the entry door assembly was gone entirely. Working with local artisans and San Francisco Historical Planners, our team studied library photographs, writings on Cranston and Keenan, and the remnants of the original porch found under the stucco.

What came back: gilded acanthus capitals and carved floral panels on the porch columns, a stained glass transom with hand-painted bird rondels replicated from the originals, cast brass hardware on recreated entry doors, and a reengineered staircase foundation beneath it all.

Arts and Crafts Bathroom

The centerpiece: a circa-1860s Italian dry vanity, sourced in the South of France and imported to San Francisco. Its marble top was cut to fit a hand-hammered basin, matching marble was fabricated to raise the mirror to modern height, and the seams were concealed behind a new storage shelf. Delicate stainless steel legs replaced the damaged wooden originals, chosen to echo the vintage-look plumbing fixtures.

Elsewhere, original art nouveau gas sconces were rewired for modern electrical. A 1910s English vanity was fitted with interior pullout shelves. A walk-in shower with a low threshold and marble bench brings accessibility to a period-faithful space.

Old and new, mixed with intention.

A smart use of space: this garage storage area is now a modern home gym. Mirror and glass block fill the windowless room with light, exposed joists and dimmable LEDs add warmth overhead, and infrared above the glass brick wall brings wellness into every workout. Constraints, answered by design.

In this late 1800's Victorian, an outdated kitchen gave way to a space designed for the people who love to cook in it. Quartzite counters flow into the backsplash for elegance that's effortless to maintain, while Rejuvenation Hardware pulls and Perrin & Rowe faucets honor the home's original character. A former laundry extension is now a garden-view eating area, anchored by a custom table crafted by a local artisan, and a built-in bar keeps drinks flowing without interrupting the cook. Thoughtful, modern renovation, made for entertaining.
